Theme included in the record work Iris, project commissioned by the singer Alícia Calzada in 2009.
A work tailored to its voice with 11 songs in Spanish, texts, music and arrangements created specifically for me and adapted to the timbre and the particularity of the voice of this original singer of Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
Pun between Routine and Rocinante, Don Quixote's horse. As a symbol of the bitter struggle of many humans to achieve their dream: the work routine that in their countries can't have, I mean, a stable job that will lift them out of misery. And to achieve this dream, wich is one of the basic rights of universal human rights, they are able to leave life on the long journey to reach their dream. Instead we have served the paradox in ourselves, in our society of well-being, complaining precisely of these excesses of routine. Because a point in between is always very difficult to reach.
As the song says: "Two forms to bump into the same stone"
heart of every day,
I don't blame you for my cravings,
I reveal in the distance
every night watching you wake up.
give rest to such money,
who doesn't know how to live.
heart of every day,
I don't know of another way out,
that find that routine,
that leads me to a new awakening.
send you this money,
to help you live.
Two ways to look at the same destination.
Two ways to bump into the same stone,
and it is that love in this life things go to two.
