Extract from the play "Songs to the livestock keeper"  about poems from the book "The livestock keeper" by the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, although in this work he used the heteronym Alberto Caeiro.

The original work is created for baritone, violin and piano, and later -i did the adaptation for soprano, flute and piano.

The entire work "Songs to the livestock keeper" hasn't yet been released as such, but instead has been released this extract of the work.

I have made two versions of this extract, one for baritone (the original) and another version for soprano, both of them which has not been released.

 
Hoje de manhã saí muito cedo...
 
Hoje de manhã saí muito cedo,
Por te acordado ainda mais cedo
E não ter nada que quisesse fazer...
 
Não sabia por caminho tomar
Mas o vento soprava forte, varria para um lado,
E segui o caminho para onde o vento me
soprava nas costas.
 
Assim tem sido sempre a minha vida, e
Assim quero que possa ser sempre
Vou onde o vento me leva e não me
Sinto pensar. 
 

Aquest matí he sortit de bona hora...

 
Aquest matí he sortit de bona hora,
en haver-me despertat encara més d’hora
i no tenir ganes de fer res...
 
No sabia quin camí agafar,
però el vent bufava fort, batia de costat,
i he seguit el camí per on el vent em bufava
d'esquena.
 
Així ha estat sempre la meva vida, i
així vull que pugui ésser sempre
vaig on el vent em porta i no em
sento pensar.
 
 
This morning I left good time (English translation)
 
This morning I left good time,
to have woken me even earlier
and not wanting to do anything ...
 
I did not know which way to go,
but the wind was blowing hard, it was flapping,
and I followed the path where the wind blew me
backwards.
 
This is how my life has always been, and
so I want it to always be
I go where the wind takes me and I do not
feel to think.
