312a-Concerto Vitale (3 pianos version)

This three-piano version of the Sinfonia Concertante for Orchestra and Two Obbligato Pianos features a third piano performing the orchestral reduction, while the first and second pianos retain the original solo parts in their entirety.

The work explores a relationship of dialogue and integration between the two pianos and the orchestral ensemble, moving away from the traditional model of opposition between soloists and orchestra. Conceived as complementary voices, the two pianos develop a shared musical discourse that merges with the orchestral texture in a continuous search for balance, resonance, and expressive unity.

The second movement draws inspiration from the transcription of Bach’s Prelude BWV 855a by Alexander Siloti, an influence that contributes to the contemplative and deeply lyrical character of the work, originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach.
