A 90 pieces cycle for solo piano called Instantaneous Music, created specifically for the program directed by Martí Gironell “El pont de les formigues” of Catalunya Ràdio, during the seasons 2001-2004.
The particularity of this cycle of pieces for solo piano is that I proposed to compose them immediately, with the firsts musical ideas that inspire me the different themes the show producers proposed me, that changed each week. That's why all have a specific date of creation, as sometimes I composed many of them the same day.
In the middle part of each piece there is space for improvisation.
Topic proposed for this piece: On February 22, 1813, the Holy Inquisition was abolished. Are we back to a time of repression? Does the current Spanish government re-implement the lack of freedom of expression?
Emission of the piece: February 22, 2003
