Abstract for piano solo of a part of the work Nickelodeon, composed specifically for the homage concert to Wojciech Kilar, polish composer of movie soundtracks as "Dracula" of Francis Ford Coppola, or "The pianist" of Roman Polanski among more than 100 soundtracks of his catalog.

The homage concert to polish composer was attended in the room by the composer himself, October 20, 1997 at the auditorium Narcís de Carreras of Girona.

The Nickelodeons are mashines that still exist in some theme parks, that for 1 nickel (5 cents) they let you see a short fragment of a film. A little moment for fantasy.

This classic of literature as is King Kong has always awaken mixed feelings in me, on the one hand its monstrosity, obviously, but especially its loneliness and nostalgia, his ability to fall in love. Compassion was the origin of this musical piece, that has nothing bestial.

The work Nickelodeon is inspired in 10 emblematic character of the world of cinema.

Work included in the show Homeage concert to Kilar (1997)
