008-Give me your hand

Work inspired by the following poem of catalan poet Joan Salvat-Papasseit. A musical work with a central part for improvise. 

Dona'm la mà (Original in Catalan):

Dona'm la mà que anirem per la riba
ben a la vora del mar
bategant,
tindrem la mida de totes les coses
només en dir-nos que ens seguim amant.

Les barques llunyes i les de la sorra
prendran un aire fidel i discret,
no ens miraran;
miraran noves rutes
amb l'esguard lent del copsador distret.

Dona'm la mà i arrecera ta galta
sobre el meu pit, i no temis ningú.
I les palmeres ens donaran ombra.
I les gavines sota el sol que lluu

Ens portaran la salabror que amara,
a l'amor, tota cosa prop del mar:
i jo, aleshores, besaré ta galta;
i la besada ens durà el joc d'amar.

Dona'm la mà que anirem per la riba

tindrem la mida de totes les coses
només en dir-nos que ens seguim amant.

Give me your hand (Translate to English):

Give me your hand because we'll walk along the shore  
just near to the sea 
beating,
we'll have the measure of everything 
just telling us we are still in love.

Thar far barques and the one on the sand 
will take a faithful and discreet air,
anybody will watch us;
they'll watch new routes 
with the slow sight of distracted seeker.

Give me your hand and shelter your cheek 
on my chest, and don't fear anyone.
And palm trees will give us shade 
And seagulls under the bright sun. 

They will bring us salinity that soaks,
to love, everything near the sea:
and I, then, will kiss your cheek;
and the kiss will take us to the love game.

Give me your hand because we'll walk along the shore  
just near to the sea 
beating,
we'll have the measure of everything 
just telling us we are still in love.
