312-Concerto Vitale (original version for 2 pianos and orchestra)

The Sinfonia Concertante for Orchestra and Two Obbligato Pianos explores a relationship of dialogue, listening, and integration between the two pianos and the orchestra. Moving away from the traditional model of opposition between soloists and ensemble, the work conceives the two pianos as complementary voices that develop a shared musical discourse within a living and ever-transforming orchestral texture.

Virtuosity is placed at the service of expression and sonic unity, creating a musical architecture that seeks balance among its different voices and invites the listener into a deep and contemplative listening experience.

The opening theme of the second movement is inspired by the transcription of Bach’s Prelude BWV 855a by Alexander Siloti, an influence that contributes to the lyrical and introspective character of the work, originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach.
