In 1987 I left my native Barcelona and arrived in Girona to create a music school.
In love with this land, the year of composition, in 2013, I had lived and made music in magical lands for 25 years.
That is why I wanted to remember this transcendental decision of my life and career with this work.
I was 23 years old in 1987, young, ambitious and full of energy, so thinking about that "young entrepreneur" created these notes, vital and stimulating music, not excluded from doubt, but full of enthusiasm and energy.
Giromuses is born from the sincere homage to a change in my life that I do not regret. For some reason I've been here longer than there.
Long life to dreams.
Original work to start the show of the same name that in the end became the collaborators concert of November 2013, when celebrating 25 years of professional dedication to music. But in that concert there was no orchestra, so at last, after talking to the then director of the conservatory of Girona, Lluís Caballería, I did this work for a group of advanced students and teachers of this conservatory, and he asked me to do the work with an instrumentation similar to that of Richard Wagner's Siegfried Idyll. And so Giromuses is born.
